BEFORE

Standing at 9’ tall and 2’ wide, the mirror's handcrafted wood frame was in poor condition. Sections of the frame’s rope design and base detail were missing; and the wood finish was worn and deteriorated throughout.

Desiring a luxurious feel, the client asked Opus to adorn the ornate frame in gold leaf to bring the dull finish to life. In addition, Opus made a silicon rubber mold from the existing designs, cast in glass fiber reinforced gypsum and installed it to the missing areas.
