CARNEGIE HALL, MIDTOWN
Renowned for its beauty, history and acoustics, Carnegie Hall is one of the most famous concert venues in the world for classical and popular music. Built in 1891, the building's foyer exemplifies the Florentine Renaissance style. Throughout the years, the building had gone through many renovations and additions. Opus was honored to restore the over 100 original risers of the interior steps of the building.
Opus created silicon rubber molds from the original iron riser.
Over 100 exact replicas were casted out of an epoxy resin plaster.
The risers were installed, painted white and adorned with gold leaf detail.
